ProCAT Winners' Retreat

2020 ProCAT Winners’ (Virtual) Retreat

Improving your skills for the new normal.

COVID-19 has been by all measures disruptive in our personal lives and impacted how we all do business.  Earlier this year shortly after the outbreak, we wrote to our clients to inform them of our decision to follow the health codes and switch our Annual ProCAT Winners’ Retreat to an online setting.   Knowing that it will never be the same as meeting colleagues and forming new friendships.  The Retreat was scheduled for November 7th and November 15th.

I am pleased to report to you that Another Winners’ Retreat is in the history books!  We are truly grateful to our clients for their participation and for making this year’s Winners’ Retreat a success.

I would also like to thank the ProCAT team consisting of Lisa Gonzalez, Jose Becerra, and Chris Fogelman for preparing the training material and orchestrating the training event.    More importantly, we would like to thank Ms. Pam Dogger and Ms. Mary Jane Hargett for their participation in the program and for sharing their life experiences with the group.    Collectively, we brought over a century of experience to the retreat.

The program was focused on the application of the features in Winner 2020 Suite that addresses remote reporting and realtime streaming.  We discussed the new ProCAT Casepad.Cloud and ProCAT’s own remote editing platform based in the clouds.  Additionally, we covered powerful features like AutoIndex™ and automatic number conversion.  The second day was divided into two tracks.  Track 1 covered topics that are common to all court reporters while Track 2 was focused on the feature for our Winner 2020 Voice Edition clients.

Quite often, we learn as much from our clients during training seminars as we teach them.  This year was no exception.  We walked away with a lot of good ideas and confirmation of our vision for the court reporting industry and our goal to continue to stay relevant as we serve our community.

We have recorded the training seminars and we plan to make that available to our clients to view at their convenience.   We will keep you posted on its availability.

We look forward to 2021 with high hopes that we will all have more normalcy in our lives.  We wish you all a safe and joyous holiday season.  We look forward to seeing you soon.

Sincerely yours,
Bob Bakva
President
