Where did 39 years go?

We started a small software company back in 1982 in Van Nuys, California, the home of Merit College of Court Reporting.  Driving by the school every day made me wonder what court reporters do.  I had seen them on Perry Mason on a few occasions (as a child!).  My curiosity brought me to the school where I met Mr. and Mrs. Gumpert.  Their encouragement and time to teach me court reporting was the catalyst to form ProCAT.  It was formed with the belief that we can make a difference.   I suppose the rest is history.

I believe history is a better judge of whether we have made a difference.  If you use the feedback from our clients and our innovations over the last four decades as a yardstick, we think we have done well.  You be the judge!

As we attend the 2021 NCRA convention, I cannot help but remember my younger self at the first “NSRA” appearance in Las Vegas, NV.  We are pleased to have the opportunity to meet our friends and clients, in person after 15 months of stress and uncertainty, at the same location we started nearly forty years ago.  Albeit, everyone is still dealing with these uncertain times and their impact on every aspect of our lives.

This year, we will introduce the new CasePad.Cloud service at the convention.  We will also showcase our ProCAT Xpression writer for the professional court reporters, and ProCAT Blaze for students.

Be sure to stop by the booth to take a writer for a test drive.  We are offering special convention discounts and a FREE laptop with the purchase of an Xpression.

We look forward to visiting with you in Las Vegas.
