WebCaption
is a realtime streaming-text platform that enables court reporters
to deliver text to a consumer via the Web. WebCaption
may be used for any purpose that requires instantaneous delivery of
text (i.e. Financial News, Educational, Legal, etc.) to a desktop.
Our clients use WebCaption for remote
CART, financial news broadcasting, and convention reporting.
WebCaption
consists of three parts:
Computer-Aided
Transcription ("CAT") -- CAT software
translates the spoken words into text. When used with the
Winner transcription system, the text will be formatted using
artificial intelligence to ensure the highest presentation
quality.
Broadcast
Server -- The CAT software must be configured to
connect to a ProCAT WebCaption server (a "Virtual
Conference Room"). The server is responsible for
receiving the text from the court reporter and deliver it to the
persons that are present in the room (connected to the
server). The server also maintains a history of the
activities in the room so that a person who arrives late will
receive the benefit of an entire session.
Consumer
Plug-In -- The invited guests will be given an
access code for a virtual conference room. A guest may use
an Internet explorer to log into a room to view a
session.
